Professor Gutierrez is the First Filipino to be awarded the International Ergonomics Association (IEA) Fellow 2023 in Jeju, Korea, and Southeast Asian Network of Ergonomics Societies (SEANES) Educator Award 2018, Bangkok, Thailand. She was also awarded the Asian Council of Ergonomics and Design (ACED) 2025 Fellowship in Beijing, China. Full Professor of the Department of Industrial &Systems Engineering at De La Salle University and an ASEAN engineer. Editor-in-Chief, Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Ascent Website and Online Repository. Conference Chair of the Joint Congress of ACED-SEANES2020. Lead Editor of ACED-SEANES2020 Proceedings in Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing. President of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of the Philippines (HFESP). Has publications in the Sustainability Journal, International Journal of Industrial Ergonomics, and International Journal of Aviation Psychology. Aside from this, CRC Press Taylor and Francis Group published a book entitled “Designing for Humanity: Creating Products that Matters and a book chapter on Human Factors and Ergonomics in consumer product design, held leadership positions in the University as the Department Chairperson of Industrial and Systems Engineering (AY 2016-2019; AY2006-2007) and Vice-Chairperson (AY 2010-2012; AY2003- 2006) and engaged in ergonomics consultancy on Safety Productivity Enhancement through Ergonomics Development (SPEED) program for the government and private sector.
